PostSubject: 1 Samuel 12: 20-21   Tue 7 Aug - 17:40

"And Samuel said to the people, Fear not. You have indeed done all this evil; yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve Him with all your heart.

And turn not aside after vain and worthless things which cannot profit or deliver you, for they are empty and futile."

(Amplified Bible)

This is a powerful verse that summarizes some of the major themes
in the Old Testament. Despite our sin, God almost always leaves
room for repentance.

The Proverbs told us about who wants futility and what they reap:

"Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread,
but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty."

Proverbs 28:19 (English Standard Version)
